Therapists, You Can Gain the Skills to Provide Effective, Evidence-Based Care for Transformational change!

You have clients who battle desires, fantasies, and compulsions that conflict with their values and vision for their lives. They’re ashamed but don’t know what else to do. Your clients want practical solutions to their struggles. They want transformational change of their thoughts, behavior, and feelings. They long to acquire more secure attachments.

You can provide help with confidence, using evidence-based interventions that reduce shame, gain insight, and heal the emotions underlying the patterns your clients want to change. The Reintegrative Therapy Association offers comprehensive training for professional therapists, with a path toward certification in Reintegrative Therapy.

Basic Training

For professional mental health clinicians, able to practice psychotherapy legally in their respective jurisdictions.

In basic training, you will learn the following:

  • The psychotherapeutic theories underlying Reintegrative Therapy (attachment, affect-regulation, memory reconsolidation).
  • Ethical considerations.
  • The research showing Reintegrative Therapy’s safety and efficacy.
  • Mindfulness-based practices for self-regulation.
  • The Reintegrative Protocol for reprocessing undesired arousal templates and distressing memories.

Training will include hands-on experience and follow-up consultation so you can use the skills in your therapy practice immediately!

Consultation

Case consultation with a certified Reintegrative Therapist is available for those who have successfully passed basic training. Case consultation meetings are vital for gaining proficiency in the skills taught in both basic and advanced training. The Reintegrative Therapy Association is committed to upholding the highest levels of clinical excellence, and consultation helps ensure this end.

  • After basic training, eight hours of consultation will be required for eligibility for advanced training.
  • Twenty (20) total consultation hours is required for achieving Reintegrative Therapy certification.

Consultation meetings provide opportunities to learn additional interventions and new developments after completing advanced training!

Advanced Training

For professional psychotherapists who have shown proficiency in the basic training skills, the advanced training involves strategies that assist with more challenging situations and attaining enhanced levels of growth.

In advanced training, you will learn the following:

  • Somatic and emotion-focused interventions for affect-regulation and insight.
  • Protocols for shifting toward a secure attachment style.
  • How to use the Reintegrative Therapy Association’s assessment dashboard for treatment planning and tracking well-being and progress.
  • Ways of integrating Reintegrative Therapy with other modalities.

Just as with basic training, advanced training will include hands-on experience and follow-up consultation so you can use the skills in your therapy practice immediately!

After completing both trainings, sufficient case consultation, and sufficient client contact hours using Reintegrative Therapy, you may be eligible for certification!
