PRESS: YouTube Cancels Psychological Science, Calls It “Hate Speech”

At midnight on Saturday, Big Tech platform YouTube permanently banned the account of Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, Jr., a world-renowned clinical psychologist. YouTube announced the suspension after people associated with the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center named Nicolosi a purveyor of so-called “hate speech” in a report highlighted in Forbes.

Dr. Nicolosi, whose work to heal trauma associated with same-sex attractions was recently featured in a peer-reviewed study, condemned the ban. “Political agendas and propaganda don’t determine scientific truth,” he said. “This suspension is part of a campaign to cancel anyone who doesn’t follow the woke movement’s anti-science agenda. If my clients reported increased same-sex attractions, YouTube and Forbes would give me an award; but because they decreased, woke activists view me as a threat. Big Tech obeyed their marching orders to suppress my patients’ results.”

Dr. Nicolosi is a leading expert in his field who has testified to state legislatures and has been published in multiple peer-reviewed academic journals. Most recently, the Journal of Human Sexuality published a five-year, peer-reviewed study which found that participants using Dr. Nicolosi’s method reported significant decreases in distress, such as depression and suicidality. The study found that his treatments also reduced their same-sex sexual attractions and increased their heterosexual attractions.

“Media companies and online video-sharing platforms are not qualified to have a say in what happens during patient-led therapy sessions,” Dr. Nicolosi said.  “Yet, Forbes and YouTube are interfering with patient-therapist relationships by shutting down discussion of scientific research and treatments which go against their agenda.”

“Objective science doesn’t care about corporate political agendas,” Dr. Nicolosi concluded. “It’s time to put patients first, now and always.”

In order to help people find the mental health care they need to overcome trauma and addiction, The Reintegrative Therapy Association has made the videos YouTube banned on our site. Find them here!
